The August 11 issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals that Sega is banking on humankind's innate wonder of the cosmos to drive sales of Planetarium Creator Ohira Takuya Kantoku Homestar Portable, a planetarium simulator for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Homestar is being produced by Takuya Ohira, designer of the Megastar II planetarium, which Guinness called the "world's most advanced planetarium projector." Containing data on 5 million stars, the game can render the night sky for any date entered by the user, who can filter the display to show stars of only a certain magnitude. Other features include an extensive database of constellations, nebulae, and galaxies, and the Fantasy Theater Mode, which offers 15 videos with narrated tours through space.
