GameStop Selling Refurbished PS4 With 2 TB Hard Drive for $480
GameStop Selling Refurbished PS4 With 2 TB Hard Drive for $480-September 2024
Sep 22, 2024 2:38 AM

GameStop is now selling a PlayStation 4 with a 2 terabyte hard drive.

The online retailer is advertising the console as "supercharged." It's a refurbished PS4, and it'll cost you $480. The PS4's hard drive has been replaceable since its launch day, so you could probably find a similar hard drive for a lower price and replace it yourself for about $20 cheaper. But if you don't want to go to the trouble of replacing the hard drive, this isn't a terrible deal.

At the time of this writing, GameStop is also running a promotion that will get you a free, pre-owned game worth $30 or lower with the purchase of a PS4.

Sony recently announced a new model of the console with a 1 TB hard drive, but it's only been confirmed for a European release so far.

This isn't the first time that GameStop has sold a "supercharged" console. Back in 2011, it started selling an upgraded, refurbished PlayStation 3 with a bigger hard drive and other extras.

The PS4's normal 500 GB hard drive has proven to be too small for some players, especially with some PS4 games taking up 50 GB each. Currently, the only way to expand your hard drive space is to replace the internal drive with a third party drive.

Have you expanded your PS4's storage capacity yet? Let us know in the comments.
