On Wednesday, April 30, GameSpot will launch an exclusive contest for GameSpot Complete members that will give them a chance to win one of 500 slots in the public beta test for LucasArts' online RPG Star Wars Galaxies. The contest sign-up page will go live at 5pm PT, and 500 randomly chosen GameSpot Complete members will be sent game discs and information from LucasArts that will let them access the beta test. Contestants must be residents of the US, Canada, or Mexico, and they must be logged in to their GameSpot Complete account to fill out the sign-up page. The contest winners will be announced on GameSpot on Monday, May 5.
Star Wars Galaxies is an online role-playing game set shortly after the events of the first Star Wars movie. In the game, players will be able to explore planets and settings from the Star Wars universe. Players will be able to base their character on one of the alien races from the movies, such as the Wookiees, the Mon Calamari, the Twi'lek, or the Rodians.
