With the recent blitz of states considering game regulation, it can be difficult to keep tabs on which states are considering what kind of regulation, which states have passed laws, which laws have been overturned, and so on. To help make that process easier, Web site Game Politics has introduced its Video Game Legislation Tracker. Powered by Google Maps, the Legislation Tracker places colored flags around the United States to indicate which states have passed or are considering which laws, and even places where candidates running for office have promised game legislation as part of their platforms. The tool went live a little over a week ago, and while Game Politics founder Dennis McCauley says he hasn't checked the traffic numbers on it yet, it has generated "a fair amount of media interest--MTV, Next Gen, possibly something with ABC."
