Bioware has released the full Anthem gameplay footage that was shown off at this year’s E3 and EA Play event.

Executive producer Mark Darrah shared the raw gameplay through Twitter following a request from fellow producer Michael Gamble, and both provided some additional details about the game later on. You can watch the full Anthem E3 gameplay footage down below:

Lead Producer Ben Irving takes us through a 20-minute Anthem gameplay demonstration, originally shown at the E3 hands-on showcase. Discover more about the traversal, combat, and teamwork on display as a team of four Freelancers complete the mission “Scars & Villainy.”

One of the most asked questions that has been raised following the E3 demo, is whether the floating damage numbers can be turned off. As answered by Darrah, this is indeed the case and the option also comes with additional settings, including opacity and size.

When asked about loading screens in the game, Darrah replied that these aren’t that common. “Not that frequent”, he said.

In the E3 footage, the game’s map pops up and the executive producer was asked whether this is actually the entire map in Anthem or merely a portion of it. Fans will be happy to learn that the full map will indeed be bigger in the final game.

Darrah and lead producer Gamble also shared some additional details about the game’s difficulty and gear used in the E3 demo.

For difficulty reasons, the demo was played by “pro” players with high level gear, including some legendary items. This was intentional so fans wouldn’t have to watch these players die during their demos. “That footage was with pro BioWare players (our best) with high level gear”, Gamble wrote on Twitter. “That was intentional so they didn’t die during their 100 live demos.”

“There is some legendary gear in the demo”, executive producer Darrah wrote.

Those who have been worried about the game’s difficulty will be happy to learn that Anthem surely won’t be easy, and the game will actually challenge players. “A few people mentioned that the gameplay demo looked a little easy”, Gamble tweeted. “You will be challenged. You will be shot in the face a lot”, he added.

“For those of you wondering, @scyllacosta @jencheverie were two of the players from the demo”, the lead producer wrote in a follow-up tweet. “If you think they are newbs then they challenge you to beat their scores in February.”

Anthem is slated for a PC/PS4/Xbox One release on February 22, 2019.
