Rockstar Games' open-world Western Red Dead Redemption was released in May 2010 to rapt reviews. The game has since welcomed a string of add-ons, including major downloadable content like the Undead Nightmare and Outlaws to the End packs. Now, Rockstar is thanking fans for their patronage by saddling up new "appreciation" content, due out this September. Red Dead Redemption's open world continues to grow in September.
Rockstar today announced the Myths and Mavericks Bonus Pack for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Red Dead Redemption. The free add-on brings new, "fan-favorite" characters and environments to the game's multiplayer component.
Rockstar did not specify which characters would arrive in the content, but it did say a certain "grizzled ol' gunslinger" would be included. The accompanying picture confirms that this character is protagonist John Marston's mentor Landon Ricketts.
