Canadian developer Strategy First has opened its new trading-card contest based on artwork from its sleeper turn-based strategy hit, Disciples: Sacred Lands. The contest, which runs from today until December 23, lets Disciples fans download 15 collectible e-cards featuring hand-painted artwork from the game. After it has been downloaded, each card can then be added to Strategy First's card-collecting utility. Double-clicking a card flips it over; the flip side of each of the 15 cards assembles to form a graphic puzzle.
Each card will appear for download on Strategy First's site for an unspecified period of time, and if you miss one, you may have to trade the cards you do have with other Disciples fans. The contest itself will run until January 14, 2000, and a grand-prize drawing will be held on January 20 for Disciples T-shirts, collectible statues, and the grand prize, an "authentic Excalibur shield" (worth more than CAN$500).
