Forza Motorsport will release later this year on October 10th, Turn 10 and Microsoft have confirmed.
We already reported as much yesterday following a report from Exputer, but during today's Xbox showcase, the release date for the next Forza Motorsport was confirmed. Down below you'll find the official trailer that Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios released.
"Out-build the competition in the all-new career", the description from the game reads. "Race your friends in multiplayer. Compete in 500+ cars on world-famous tracks with cutting edge AI and advanced physics."
More details, including pre-order details, can be found on the game's official Xbox store page here.
As said, the new Forza Motorsport launches on October 10 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. Those who want to play on Xbox One will need to stream the game via Xbox Cloud gaming. "Forza Motorsport has been built from the ground up to leverage the full power and performance of Xbox Series X|S consoles and deliver our most beautiful, technically advanced game yet", Microsoft explained on the game's support page following its announcement. "While there will not be a native Xbox One version of the game, Xbox One players can stream Forza Motorsport through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate."
The game is said to offer a leap in physics simulation not yet seen in the Forza franchise.
"I've been kind of trying to think about how to how to quantify this for everyone here without actually getting your hands on it, so to put the physics work into perspective, the changes we've made from Forza Motorsport 7 till now are more than the changes that we've made from Forza Motorsport 4 through 7", Creative Director Chris Esaki said in 2021. "It's basically a huge generational leap coming to the game."
We'll update you as soon as more information about the new Forza comes in.
