An early Forza Motorsport 2023 vs Forza Motorsport 7 comparison video has been released, showing some of the visual improvements.
Several outlets released some previews for Microsoft's upcoming Forza Motorsport, and we now also have a comparison video from YouTuber 'Cycu1', comparing the Maple Valley track from this year's Forza Motorsport to the same track within 2017's Forza Motorsport 7. Although it should be noted that this video is merely an early comparison, it's clear that improvements have been made in the visual department. Of course, Forza Motorsport 7 was released six years ago for Xbox One and PC, while the new Forza has been developed for both PC and Xbox Series X|S. On the other hand, although we can clearly spot some graphical improvements, including dynamic lighting, this comparison also shows how well Forza Motorsport 7 manages to hold up. Check out the comparison video below and judge for yourself which Forza entry you like better visually:
Some months ago, YouTuber 'ElAnalistaDebits' released a comparison video, comparing Forza Motorsport 2023 to Gran Turismo 7. This early comparison video showed how well Polyphony's 2017 racer holds up.
As covered some days ago, Forza Motorsport will offer three visual modes on Xbox Series X, including a 60fps performance ray tracing mode, a performance 4K@60FPS mode, and a Visual mode at 4K resolution with ray tracing at 30FPS. In addition, Turn 10 has revealed that the game will be receiving ray-traced global illumination in the future. “We're still committed to bringing [ray-traced global illumination] to the players", developer Turn 10 revealed. "I might not be there on Day 1, but it is a technology that we think adds a lot to the game, and we will bring it in a future update. We do see Forza Motorsport as being a live title and we plan to keep bringing you new features and new technology with it.”
Forza Motorsport launches globally next month on October 10 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
