The makers of Forza Horizon 4 are aiming to accommodate the widest range of PC players possible. According to Playground Games, Forza Horizon 4’s minimum PC requirements will actually be lower than Forza Horizon 3. For the record, here’s all you need to play Horizon 3:
CPU: i3-4170 @ 3.7GhzGPU: AMD R7 250x or NVIDIA GT 740RAM: 8GBSo yeah, pretty much any moderately capable PC should be able to run Forza Horizon 4. But what if you’re playing on high-end hardware? No worries! Forza Horizon 4 will offer a wide array of bonus bells and whistles for those with powerful rigs. Here’s what Playground Games art director Benjamin Penrose had to say on the subject…
"We're now basing our recommended spec on 60 frames per second and not 30, which is a change from Forza Horizon 3. We're really happy with the stability and performance from launch this time round. And we've also got a whole bunch of new options you can push [your PC] to the extreme beyond Ultra, if you've got a very powerful PC. And of course we've got a load of other options in there, so you can build a view for your cameras, you also have access to the HDR option -- the first time on PC for Forza."
Forza Horizon 4 developer Playground Games recently revealed a ton of info about the game via a series of seasonally-themed livestreams – I suggest you check out spring, summer, fall, and winter. Here’s the official Forza Horizon 4 description for those who haven’t been keeping up:
Seasons Change Everything – Forza Horizon 4 features dynamic seasons that change gameplay, unlocking new events and routes, impacting driving conditions, and transforming open-world exploration – all in native 4K and HDR. Players will be able to master driving in dry, wet, muddy, snowy and icy conditions in a shared world where everyone experiences changes in time of day, weather and seasons together.
Open-World Freedom – Forza Horizon 4 allows players to choose their path to becoming a Horizon Superstar. We’re proud to introduce two of our most fan-requested features – a brand new Route Creator that lets you design and share your own custom race routes anywhere in the open world and the option to play at 60 frames per second for players on Xbox One X.
Collect Over 450 Cars and Customize Your Horizon Life – With over 450 cars from more than 100 licensed manufacturers, Forza Horizon 4 features the largest and most diverse Horizon car roster yet with all the customization options Forza players love. And for the first time in the Horizon series, players can own property that unlocks new items and gameplay perks.
Go it Alone or Team Up – Players can choose to play alone, cooperatively or join multiplayer for casual fun or ranked teams. In addition, integrated Mixer broadcasting and spectating features add to an already fun and rewarding experience.
