Reality Augments are buffs that can help you win the game, and you can choose between two at intervals during each match. If you survive long enough, you will be able to collect four of them and create the ultimate combination. But how do Augments work in Fortnite, and how to activate them? You can check all the relevant information and the full Augments list in this guide.
How Fortnite Augments Work
Starting with Chapter 4 – Season 1, you can obtain and activate Fortnite Augments during each match and obtain unique perks. You can choose between two of them each time and have the chance to re-roll them for free once. If you want to reroll again, it will cost you 100 gold bars every time. If you reach the final stages of a match, you can activate a total of four different Augments.
You will always see the name and the description of each Augment, so you can choose between them depending on what you need the most. Fortnite Augments are divided into four different categories, which are:

How to Activate Fortnite Augments
When Augments are available in the match, you will notice a countdown appearing on the right of the screen, and you will be able to open the corresponding menu and choose between two random buffs. Then, you need to activate the Augment, and its effect will be permanent for the whole duration of the match until you win or get eliminated.
Activating new Augments won’t delete the previous perks you have already chosen, as they will sum to the previous ones. If you survive long enough, you will be able to get four different Reality Augments. However, they won’t carry over to the next match but reset every time you start a new one.
