Forspoken 1.04 Patch Fixes Camera, AMD FSR Issues And More
Forspoken 1.04 Patch Fixes Camera, AMD FSR Issues And More-November 2024
Nov 25, 2024 5:22 PM

A new Forspoken patch is now live on PC and PlayStation 5, introducing fixes for various issues on both formats that should improve the experience of the open-world game released last month by Square Enix and Luminous Productions.

The new 1.04 patch, which has yet to go live for the Microsoft Store version of the game, fixes a selection of technical issues on PC, such as an issue where the camera moves unintentionally when using certain Xinput devices and one where FSR settings are reset to normal when restarting the game and others. The patch also introduces text updates and minor optimization for certain features.

  Technical Issues:

・Fixed an issue where the camera moves unintentionally when certain Xinput devices are used as the controller. (PC version)

・Fixed an issue where the FSR setting automatically changes to Normal upon restarting the game when the FSR, DLSS, and 3D Resolution are set to a certain setting. (PC version)

・Fixed an issue where the game shows unintended behavior when PlayStation®5's DualSense Edge™ wireless controller is connected to the PC. (PC version)

  ・Various minor fixes.

  Feature Updates:

・The text font for Traditional/Simplified Chinese has been changed.

・The system text that displays when certain items are unlocked have been updated.

・The system text accompanied with Patch 1.03's mouse config bug fix update will be now displayed in all languages.

  ・Minor optimization for certain features.

Today's Forspoken patch is not the major patch Square Enix and Luminous Productions announced earlier this month. This upcoming update will address some of the game's biggest issues, such as visual and performance issues on both PC and PlayStation 5. A release window for this patch has yet to be announced.

Forspoken is now available on PC and PlayStation 5 worldwide. You can learn more about the game by checking out Alessio's review, where he highlighted how great combat and traversal mechanics are not enough to make the game anything more than a decent title.

Forspoken is a fun action game that shines best when you're taking advantage of the great magic parkour to soar through the fantasy world of Athia and blast enemies with overwhelmingly cool spells. However, its content is underwhelming, its RPG systems are weak, and its visuals are less advanced than advertised. As such, Forspoken's potential is largely unrealized in its current state. It's still a decent romp for genre fans to go through, though waiting until it gets a discount or is added to one of the many subscription services is recommended.
