IGA Worldwide, a company that specializes in in-game advertising, has tapped a former THQ Wireless executive to push the company's Radial ad network. Tim Walsh will become IGA Worldwide's vice president of media acquisition. At THQ, Walsh served as president of THQ Wireless. Before that, Walsh was senior vice president of the international division when it saw a rise in sales over seven years from $13 million to $200 million.
At IGA Worldwide, Walsh will direct the growth of Radial, the company's proprietary ad-serving network. Test Drive Unlimited on the Xbox 360 is one game slated to have billboard ads culled dynamically by Radial. IGA received $17 million in investment money a month ago, which the company said would go toward building relationships with publishers and extending its North American, European, and Asian operations.
