It looks like the great Gronk is headed to WWE. Could Mojo Rawley have a new Hype Bro?
Wrestling journalist Ryan Satin is reporting that Rob Gronkowski, aka "Gronk," is about to make his way into the WWE. Currently, it's unsure what role Gronk would take on upon signing, but if he does make his in-ring debut, he would be far from the first to transition from the gridiron to the squared circle. The likes of Baron Corbin, Goldberg, Ron Simmons, and Vader all played for the NFL before making names for themselves in pro wrestling. Gronk has made a few on-camera appearances in WWE, most notably at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando, helping real-life bud Mojo Rawley beat Jinder Mahal in the annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale.
Last month, Gronk was even spotted on WWE's Triple H's Twitter hanging out, hinting at an appearance at SummerSlam (the biggest party of the summer).
Gronk could easily be used as a hype man or even commentator since he was hired by Fox last year to be an analyst, but with charisma like his, he's bound for at least a few bumps before the year's over.
