Following a brief teaser, the first full-length trailer for CBS' new Silence of the Lambs TV show spin-off has been revealed, and it looks pretty good.
The new show is called Clarice, and it follows agent Clarice Starling who is played by Australian actress Rebecca Breeds. Picking up one year after the events of Silence of the Lambs, the show focuses on Starling's "untold personal story."
"The series will bring you along as she returns to the field in pursuit of serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C.," reads a line from the show's official description.
Set to a haunting cover of John Denver's "Country Roads," the trailer introduces us to Clarice who is clearly struggling with her own demons after the events of Silence of the Lambs. While this is going on, she is forced to deal with what looks like bureaucratic challenges, as well as the horror of tracking down killers who leave gruesome murder scenes.

Clarice premieres on Thursday, February 11, at 10 PM ET on CBS and CBS All Access.
This is not the first Silence of the Lambs TV show, as the Thomas Harris book was previously adapted by NBC for Hannibal starring Mads Mikkelsen. This new show, however, is not connected to that one. The TV rights to Clarice and Hannibal are not owned by the same entity, and as such, Hannibal's Bryan Fuller has clarified for fans that the production of Clarice doesn't affect the potential for a fourth season of Hannibal.
