It appears that the first major retail Halo MCC update is imminent, and no additional participants for the MCC insider program are being accepted.
Last month, community lead at 343 Industries, Brian ‘Ske7ch’ Jarrard, already confirmed that the first major update for The Master Chief Collection was finally coming into view, and he has now announced that information on the very first retail patch is inbound.
“Thank you to all of our MCC Insiders for helping us make MCC better!”, he wrote on the official Halo Waypoint. “Over the past few months we've greatly appreciated your support and help during our public flights and your play time and feedback have directly resulted in numerous fixes and improvements.”
“As of today, the MCC Insider Program is closed and no additional participants are being accepted. Please stay tuned for information on the first retail patch for MCC and additional details on the future of the Insider Program and ongoing opportunities to help test and provide feedback on future MCC updates.”
Microsoft and 343 Industries announced their plans to update and enhance The Master Chief Collection last year. Since then, several test flights have been conducted, and it appears that the first patch for the public is finally inbound.
As always, we will update as soon as we learn more. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available globally now for Xbox One. Earlier, we reported on the first Xbox One X enhanced 4K gameplay and 4K screenshots for the game.
