Infogrames has given us a first look at its new Smurfs title coming later this year for the PlayStation. While dedicated to the younger generation with its simplistic gameplay, Infogrames feels gamers both young and old can enjoy this new Smurf adventure.
The game will start players out in a beginner stage in which players will be responsible for tending to a virtual baby Smurf, Baby Smurf. Controlling other Smurfs, players will be responsible for feeding and entertaining the little guy.
Then as players become more experienced, they'll move on to the real challenge of the game - taking control of Hefty Smurf in order to save his fellow Smurfs from Gargamel's Gorgs.
Developed by Heliovisions, The Smurfs will be available in time for the holiday season.
