Microids' upcoming Ski Park Manager, which is in development at Paris-based Lankhor, will let players build and manage their own ski resort. The game will feature a combination of 2D and 3D graphics, four different zooms and viewing angles, and a variety of buildings, objects, and staff members to customize the resort with. In addition, players will be able to modify the topological features of their mountain in order to create different kinds of ski slopes.
In addition to skiing, resort visitors will be able to snowboard, ride snowmobiles, ice-skate, eat, and shop. The game will feature varying snow conditions depending on the weather, and it will even include a number of unexpected events, such as avalanches, breakdowns, droughts, and accidents. Players must oversee the resort staff, including ski instructors, maintenance workers, and the ski patrol, and they must set prices in order to keep the customers happy while still making a profit.
We've posted some screenshots from the game in the gallery above. Ski Park Manager is scheduled for release in February.
