TOKYO - One of the games Enix highlighted at its Tokyo Game Show booth was Blade Arts. Similar to action-adventure games such as Tomb Raider, Blade Arts features a behind-the-character perspective and lets you navigate through caverns and other areas. Your main character uses a sword to fight enemies, and you can upgrade and improve this sword throughout the game.
One element that Blade Arts brings to the table that many other similar games don't is its targeting system, which is similar to Zelda's. You come across an enemy and your character automatically targets it, offering you the prime ability to score attacks.
Enix plans to release Blade Arts in Japan this summer, and it will likely offer a US release through its reestablished Enix US office (although the company has not announced whether or not it would do so yet).
