Polygon Studios and THQ are putting the finishing touches on Felony Pursuit, an arcade-style racer set in the near future. As in recent incarnations of Need for Speed, players can choose to play on either side of the law. As young recruits, players will police the streets and topple the city's major crime syndicate. Thugs, on the other hand, will wreak havoc while avoiding the cops.
Felony Pursuit's 3D world is composed of more than 100 miles of city streets, highways, and back alleys across seven distinct neighborhoods, giving players plenty of real estate to explore. The game will be split into 38 individual missions, each with its own style of play. Players will compete in illegal drag races, destroy evidence, and apprehend robbers. On the PC, Felony Pursuit will boast multiplayer support over a LAN, a modem, and the Internet. Felony Pursuit is scheduled for a simultaneous PC and Dreamcast release this winter.
