CDV Software has revealed its upcoming 3D real-time strategy game, Blitzkrieg. The game is set in Europe during World War II, and players will command Allied, Russian, or German forces. In addition to a selection of single-player historical battles, Blitzkrieg will include a multiplayer mode with computer-controlled opponents.
Blitzkrieg will include more than 40 different types of infantry, more than 150 types of equipment, and around 250 different buildings and objects. The game is being developed to be historically accurate, and it will feature 3D units and environments. It will also include a random map and mission generator, as well as several levels of difficulty.
We've posted some early screenshots from the game in the gallery above. Blitzkrieg is in development at Russia-based Nival Interactive, the studio that created Evil Islands and the Rage of Mages games. For more information, visit the official CDV Web site. No official release date for the game has been announced.
