The Game Initiative, the organizer of the Austin Game Conference, has announced a new event geared specifically to selling games. Set to run March 8 and 9 in San Francisco, the Game Marketing Conference is billed as the "only event exclusively for game marketers." According to the event's Web site, the conference will let attendees "walk away with practical and valuable insights ... they can put to use immediately to accelerate their marketing." The conference will include session topics like "Event Marketing: Trade Shows to User Groups, What Works?" and "Marketing Way Outside the Box: Nontraditional Marketing for Games." The Game Initiative also holds events that focus on in-game advertising.
