Final Fantasy XV, the latest entry in the series released back in 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, is going to make its PC debut soon as Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition. Even though it took some time for the game to release on PC, it seems like it will be worth the wait.
In a new video message to the Steam community, Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition director Hajime Tabata spoke about the development of the new version of the game, confirming that it's not a port of the console release, as it has been developed from the ground up. As such, Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition will be a generation ahead of the previous release.
Yesterday, Square Enix released the Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition benchmark, which allows players to see how the game will run on their machine. Steam, Origin and Windows Store pre-orders are also live.
Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition launches on March 6th in all regions. The Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition, which includes all of the DLC released so far as well as the additional content included in the Windows Edition, launches on the same day on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
