Some time after its unofficial reveal through the Steam Database, Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remastered has finally become available for purchase last week on Steam in all regions. Some, however, have been disappointed in learning that the game's frame rate is locked at 30 FPS, something that doesn't make the game feel exactly smooth. Modders have started looking into the matter as soon as the game released, and one of them has shared an update on his progress.

　　Modder Naxshe has recently shared a new Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remastered video which shows the Final Fantasy X intro running at 60 frames per second without any major issue. By sharing the video, Naxshe has proven that it's possible to fix animation and audio issues when making the game run at a higher framerate so it may not take that long to finally see a true 60 FPS mod for the game. As of now, working on it has proven to be not exactly practical, as Naxshe revealed that cutscenes have to be edited individually.

　　Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Remastered on PC comes with a variety of graphics options that were not available in the original PlayStation consoles release such as the ability to change resolution, enable or disable VSync, adjust texture quality, Anisotropic Filtering, Shadows, Anti-Aliasing, Color Correct, Post-Filter AA, Unsharp Mask and Ambient Occlusion. The new release also comes with some exclusive game boosters which allow players to increase the game's speed by 2x and 4x, let the AI handle battles, a no HUD mode for screenshots and more.
