Final Fantasy VII Remake Soundtrack Is Being Worked On By Nobuo Uematsu-October 2024
Oct 27, 2024 10:28 AM

Some of the most important members of the original Final Fantasy VII team are working on the Final Fantasy VII Remake, such as Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase, and it seems like another member who contributed in making the original game one of the most loved JRPG ever released is working on the remake.

In a fresh interview translated by Siliconera, Final Fantasy VII Remake producer Yoshinori Kitase confirmed that legendary Final Fantasy series composer Nobuo Uematsu is working on the remake's music. As Nobuo Uematsu left Square Enix some time ago, Yoshinori Kitase wasn't sure he would agree on working on the game.

I’ve worked on numerous titles with Uematsu-san, and while I’m currently working on the production of Final Fantasy VII Remake, it’s actually been since Final Fantasy X that I directly worked with Uematsu-san. So when I first went to ask Uematsu-san to come work on the music for the remake, I thought he would give me the cold shoulder since he had already left Square Enix and found success.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake launches on a yet to be confirmed release date on PlayStation 4. More footage may be coming very soon, so stay tuned for all the latest news on the game.
