It's been quite some time since we have seen anything new regarding the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake, but it seems like it won't take much longer to get a glimpse of where the team is taking the story.

　　In a new press release, Square Enix confirmed that new Final Fantasy VII Remake image boards are going to be shown at the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Exhibition, which is being held from January 22nd to February 28th at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. The exhibition will feature a recreation if the iconic Sector 5 Church, where Cloud and Aerith first met, and it will feature new image boards from the remake.

　　As already mentioned, there's very little that's currently known about the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Back in May 2017, Square Enix confirmed that development of the remake has been moved back in-house after the collaboration with CyberConnect 2, which lasted around 1 year.

　　So far, development (for FFVIIR) has been carried out mainly with the support of external partners. However, in view of factors such as improving quality when the product goes into mass production in the future, the company has decided to shift the developmental system back to within the company, so as to maintain a stable schedule and have control over factors such as quality. We will be forming a robust system within the company to properly carry out the development.
