When watching the original The Fast and the Furious back in 2001, no one could've guessed what kind of mileage Vin Diesel would get out of the series. But the longest quarter-mile in movies had to end eventually, and it will end with the eleventh Fast & Furious film. Justin Lin is in talks to direct the final two installments, according to a report from Deadline, ending the core series of Universal's most successful franchise ever.
Lin is currently in post-production on F9, which Universal recently delayed even further into 2021, which means these films are nowhere near even starting. Lin has worked on the series on and off since 2006, when he directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Since then, he's also directed Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, and of course F9.

Now Playing: Fast And Furious 9: 14 Ways Han Is Alive
F9 is set to continue the events of Fate of the Furious, with Charlize Theron once again playing villainous hacker Cipher. The movie also adds John Cena as Dom Toretto's never-mentioned brother (what happened to "family," Dom?) and Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw. Series stalwarts like Diesel, Ludacris, and others return, along with Sung Kang as Han. We still don't know how Han is alive, although we have some theories. F9 is set to hit theaters--we hope--on May 28, 2021.
