Ubisoft's upcoming Far Cry Primal has been rated by the Australian Rating board, and according this very rating, the game will include strong violence, and a moderate level of nudity and sex. Primal will also see some mild drug-use if the rating is to be believed.

　　Far Cry Primal was rated a few days ago by the Australian Government's rating board and is said to offer strong violence. Another interesting feature that is listed, is online interactivity. An online multiplayer component might well be included, although this isn't too surprising since recent Far Cry titles included that as well.

　　Interestingly enough, Far Cry 4 didn't receive a rating for sex, but was rated for a stronger nudity impact.  The same can be said about Far Cry 2.

　　Primal was announced last month, after Ubisoft started teasing the game with a rather strange cave-wall painting video. The game is set 10.000 years before present day.

　　“The interesting thing about Far Cry is that it’s flexible, so when a team proposed to explore the idea of a Far Cry taking place during the Stone Age, we just said ‘let’s hear it!’  And the more we heard about it, the more we realised how much of a damn good idea it actually was,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer, Ubisoft.

　　“The Stone Age is the perfect setting for a Far Cry game,” said Jean-Christophe Guyot, Creative Director, Ubisoft.  “Far Cry usually puts you at the edge of the known world, in a beautiful, lawless and savage frontier.  The Stone Age is, in a way, the very first frontier for humankind; it’s the time when humans put a stick in the ground and claimed land for their own, the time when we started climbing the food chain.  That came with conflict against other humans, of course, but also against nature itself.”

　　Far Cry Primal is set for a release on February 23rd for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game's first gameplay footage will be shown off during the Game Awards 2015, brought to you this December by Geoff Keighley.
