Following its beta release in January, Fallout 4's latest update is now available for all PC players. The update arrives as an automatic download on Steam and is scheduled to come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this week. This release schedule is not out of the ordinary, as Fallout 4's patches have historically arrived first on PC before coming to consoles later.

Fallout 4's 1.3 update adds new PC-specific features like an ambient occlusion setting (HBAO+) and new debris effects for Nvidia card users, while it also makes a number of changes to Workshop Mode.
Across all platforms, meanwhile, players can expect general memory and stability improvements, as well as a series of bug fixes. One bug fixed with this update involved players warping into a different location when aiming, which sounds quite problematic. The Fallout 4 patch also fixes a bug where a player could become dismembered while still alive. Yikes.
