As shown in a published video, loading times on the PS4 version of Fallout 4 might be quite longer than you expected.
Yesterday we posted how several users reported severe Fallout 4 performance issues on the PS4. Apparently, Fallout 4 PS4 struggles particularly inside buildings, where frame rate can go noticeably below the advertised 30 FPS; things get even worse if the players use the scope to aim or get shot by enemies.
Today a new video has surfaced, which shows off some of the PS4 loading times for Bethesda’s latest title. As can be seen in the video, entering or exiting a building can take up to around 30 seconds.
The video is in mp4 format, and can be watched on VidMe, right here.
This applies to the PS4 version of the game, but should apply to the Xbox One version of the game as well. I expect that loading is faster on the PC version of the game. On Reddit, users are reporting loading times of more than 40 seconds when exiting out into The Wastes.
Fallout 4 hits the shelves tomorrow, but apparently many users have gotten their hands on the game early on. Last week a massive amount of Fallout 4 content leaked. Following the leaks, Bethesda’s Vice President Pete Hines, commented to be “upset” with the leaks.
Fallout 4 is available for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC tomorrow.
