Fallout 4 Has an Infinite Money Glitch – Here’s How to Get as Much Bottle Caps as You Want-October 2024
Oct 19, 2024 9:29 PM

Fallout 4, Bethesda’s biggest blockbuster title of the year, has been in the hands of millions of players for a couple of days now, and even though the post-apocalyptic setting of the game is gorgeous and immersive, the role-playing game has some initial bugs and glitches that players have noticed across different platforms. But of course, some glitches can prove to be very useful, such as the new infinite bottle caps money glitch that players have just discovered.

Collect as Many Bottle Caps as You Can Using Fallout 4 Infinite Money Trick Before Bethesda Patches Up the Exploit

If you are amongst millions of gamers that are exploring the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Fallout 4, you may have experienced that Bethesda’s latest game is not particularly an easy one to play through. However, the infinite bottle cap money glitch that could be found in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas is back in Fallout 4. So if you are looking for a slight edge to get ahead in the game, you can take advantage of this glitch and amass as many bottle caps – the in-game currency – as you want before Bethesda inevitably takes notice and set things straight.

Here’s how the it works (via IGN’s Fallout 4 Wiki):

First, collect a few hundred bottle caps.Next, got to any vendor in the game who sells ammo. Any kind of ammo will work.Pick any ammunition type that you want to buy, and buy the entire supply of that ammo type from the vendor.Once you have purchased all the ammo of a certain type, sell one of the ammo rounds you just bought back to the vendor. Now, sell back all the remaining rounds of ammo that you just bought. One round, somehow, stays in your inventory. You can then sell this round until you drain the vendor out of bottle caps. There are a few conditions that come with this glitch. The first one is that you will only be able to collect as many bottle caps as that specific vendor has on them at the time. Once you have collected all the bottle caps from a vendor and you still want to earn more, either find another vendor, or sleep for a day, as vendors in the game replenish the in-game currency every 24 hours. The second one is that while the glitch seems to work out with most vendors wandering the Wasteland, it doesn’t work with every single one of them, so you will have to test it out yourself to find the right vendor to go with.

Of course, this is an easy way to get ahead and make things easy for yourself in the harsh world of Fallout 4, however, we are quite sure that Bethesda will patch this exploit sooner rather than later, so before that happens, collect as many bottle caps as you can. If you still haven’t bought the game and are looking forward to playing it on PC, here’s our Fallout 4 PC performance and optimization analysis. Check out the video below to see how exactly you can get the glitch working.
