Nov 16, 2024 6:32 AM

The new full-length Fast & Furious 9 is out now, and it is a wild one. Even if you're not current with the franchise, and even if you don't think you might be interested, it's worth a watch with its pulse-pounding action and self-aware sense of humor: "Now we got cars flying in the air?!"

The trailer also showcases what a capable villain John Cena is and Han straight up killing people with bombs and a sniper rifle. Also, There is a bunch of other crazy stuff ("We messing with magnets now?") that you really have to see to believe in the trailer below. Fast & Furious 9 hits theaters on June 25.

Leading into this trailer reveal were a series of seconds-long videos--more like barely animated gifs--showcasing each individual cast member posing next to a sick ride, are far from action-packed, but at least confirm that the movie is indeed still coming out on June 25.

Fast & Furious 9, alternatively known as F9, is an upcoming action movie directed by Justin Lin (True Detective, Community). Lin, who directed previous entries in the franchise like Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious 6, has returned as co-writer on F9 alongside Daniel Casey (10 Cloverfield Lane). Noticeably absent from the gang posturing are Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham--who have been spun off into their own franchise--but Lin has drafted in their place another wrestler-turned-actor in John Cena. Additionally, Sung Kang is returning as Han--a beloved character who died in Tokyo Drift, even though it actually takes place after the sixth movie in the series. Also returning are Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Helen Mirren as Magdalene Shaw, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce, Ludacris as Tej Parker, and many more. Also, Jordana Brewster returns to the series as Mia after sitting out The Fate of the Furious. Vin Diesel's 10-year-old son, Vincent Sinclair, also joins the cast in this entry.

F9: The Fast Saga is currently scheduled to be in theaters on June 25.
