Europeans will be able to face up to their F.E.A.R. on April 20, four days earlier than their US counterparts. The supernatural first-person shooter, already released on the Xbox 360 and PC and now due to be released shortly on the PlayStation 3, will feature exclusive content for Sony's new machine, including an extra level and weapon.
Sierra senior producer Rob Loftus commented, "You'll get to see what happened to the Special Force Operational Detachment squad that the F.E.A.R. team is trying to locate in the original storyline...basically the incident that was the trigger for the events of F.E.A.R."
There will also be multiplayer support for up to 16 players and an "instant action mode" which will add a new arcade style of play using the PlayStation Network to track player progress via leaderboards. Loftus added that downloadable content might also be coming "depending on the demand."
