SK Gaming (4-6) vs Fnatic (7-3) | Head to Head: (0-1)
SK Gaming played only one match last week, losing to the Copenhagen Wolves. This loss has placed them in a four way tie for 4th place. This could be their week to catapult themselves out of the fourth place mix, as they face two first place teams, Gambit and Fnatic. This match will be particularly interesting due to the bot and mid lane matchup. SK Gaming’s botlane, nRated and CandyPanda, have been extremely strong in the past few weeks. CandyPanda was even awarded Week 3 MVP for his 10.67 KDA. In the mid lane, Jesiz is chomping on xPeke’s heels, as his KDA of 3.03 is rapidly approaching xPeke’s 3.47 KDA.
In their past three games, Fnatic has shown that they are no longer invincible. Losses to ROCCAT, Alliance and Gambit knocked the team out of their seven game win streak. In these losses, Cyanide has played Lee Sin every time with a total score of 8/14/17. In the mid lane, xPeke has fallen from a 10.0 KDA in Week 2 to 2.8 KDA in Week 3 and 1.6 in Week 4. But, it’s way too early to rule out Fnatic as old news, even a world class team can trip on their way to the Summoner’s Cup.
Copenhagen Wolves (4-6) vs Supa Hot Crew (4-6) | Head to Head: (0-1)
The Wolves have also found themselves in the middle of the pack, in a four way tie for fourth place. They put up a solid Week 4 performance, defeating SK Gaming but losing to Gambit Gaming. In their win over SK, cowTard racked up a score of 5/2/4 with Ziggs. Right next to him in the jungle, Amazing put up a flawless score of 4/0/6 with Lee Sin. But, the Copenhagen Wolves still have work to do. Most of their players are either in last place or second from last in the KDA standings.
Supa Hot Crew have begun to bounce back from their dismal debut in the LCS. In the first two weeks, they ended with a score of 1-5. They went even in Week 4, making up for being destroyed by Millenium by controlling Gambit in their next game. Supa Hot Crew looked like amateurs when playing versus Millenium. The bot lane’s combined score of 0/15/7 let Creaton go on a rampage with Lucian. But, they had a decisive victory in their next match over Gambit Gaming. The bot lane was focused and took calculated risks in the lane. The crew was also able to diminish Diamond's Evelynn pressure with strong pink ward control.
ROCCAT(7-3) vs Alliance (4-6) | Head to Head: (1-0)
ROCCAT has had a stellar performance so far in the LCS, considering they were amateurs less than two months ago. Overpow and VandeR won MVP in Week Two and Four, proving that their performance so far isn’t just beginners luck. In fact, VandeR has the highest KDA of any support in the EU LCS. Accompanying at the top of the standings is Overpow, who holds the highest KDA of any EU LCS mid laner with a score of 4.0.
Considering they ended Week 3 in last place, being in a tie for fourth isn’t the worst thing in the world for Alliance. They went 2-0 in Week 4, picking up wins from Fnatic and Millenium. In their match versus Fnatic, Froggen made quick work of xPeke’s Orianna with a 7/2/8 Gragas. In the bot lane, Tabzz played a perfect Lucian, achieving a score of 5/0/7. Alliance has yet to secure a solid foothold in the LCS, they will need a strong performance this week in order to prevent themselves from sliding down to the bottom.
