Today, ESPN Videogames announced that it has a new football title in the works. Like its predecessor, ESPN NFL 2005 will be developed by Visual Concepts, Sega's sports studio. "Fusing the thrill of a real football game atmosphere with revolutionary gameplay features and enhanced graphics, ESPN NFL 2005 truly is a hybrid from other mainstream football games," said Visual Concepts President Greg Thomas.
However, while the release announcing ESPN NFL 2005 was long on praise, it was short on details. Besides touting its "bold gameplay," "stellar animations," and "stalwart football realism," ESPN would only reveal the game's approximate ship date--fall 2004--and the fact that it would only be released for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. No screenshots from the game were released.
GameSpot will have more information about ESPN NFL 2005 as soon as it becomes available.
