Ergosoft, a subsidiary of Koei, has announced its plans to release a karaoke title for the PlayStation 2. Simply titled Net Karaoke, the title allows players to download their favorite songs over the Internet and save about 50 songs on the 8MB memory card. To download songs, you will access the Web site and pay a fee of 200yen per song (about US$2.00). Players will also be able to save songs on the PS2 hard drive, which is scheduled for a release later this year. Other than downloading songs, the software will also allow players to browse the Internet.
Net Karaoke for the Sony PlayStation 2 is scheduled for a March 29 release with a price of 6,800 yen (about US$57) in Japan. A USB microphone device will be sold separately for 5,800 yen (about US$49).
