Following on from the last flood of PlayStation Network titles, we see a slightly quieter week this time around. The only new two games to go up on the PSN Store were Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlord, and Jet Rider 2. Including 10 tracks from the first Jet Rider game (which came out on the PSN last week) and 10 new tracks, JR2 upped the difficulty significantly and was one of the first games to support the Dual Analog controller--not to be confused with the DualShock controller. Jet Rider 2 is available now for A$8.45 ($5.54).
Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is arguably one of Australia's most successful locally developed games and has finally made its way onto the Aussie PlayStation Network. Like its handheld and Xbox Live Arcade cousins, PQCOTW combines puzzle solving with an in-depth story line and RPG-like gameplay, including abilities and quests. Melbourne-developed Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is out now on the PSN for A$29.95 ($19.65) and also includes the Revenge of the Plague Lord expansion pack.
The other two games to go up on the PSN this week (which have been available in stores for a few weeks now) were NBA Live 09 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. Both games are available for A$59.95 ($39.35).
New downloadable content out this week include the Escalation expansion pack for Tom Clancy's Endwar, and four Little Big Planet Sack Boy costumes: Santa Clause, Ryu, Chun-li, Guile and Zangif. The Escalation pack is worth A$15.94 ($10.46), while the Santa clause costume is free, and the Street Fighter costumes cost A$3.45 ($2.26) each, or A$9.95 ($6.53) for the pack.
Continuing with the weekly releases, both Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour released No Doubt's The Singles 1999-2009. The album includes hits like Just a Girl, Hella Good, and Ex-Girlfriend. Single tracks are selling for A$3.45 ($2.26), or the entire album is $23.95 ($15.72). On the GHWT front, two packs have been released centring around Negative Creep, Silver, and You Know You're Right from Nirvana and A Euro Rock Pack including Dis Moi by BBBrunes, Mama Mae from Nefrita and 54,74,90,2010 by Sportfreunde Stiller. All six GHWT singles can be bought for A$3.45 ($2.26) each, or A$9.25 ($6.13) as a triple pack.
The only game to come out on Virtual Console this week is Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure, from the Sega MegaDrive days. You play as Boogerman, a (charming) action hero who flings his own boogers, burps and farts around on a mission to stop his arch nemesis, Snotty Ragsdale. If you feel like flinging some human waste around while saving the world, Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure is up now and will set you back 800 Wii Points.
