Reports on a number of financial sites in the UK this morning indicate that the ongoing delay of the European release of Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, which was originally scheduled for release in October 2002, has caused the price of shares in the publisher to drop by as much as 10 percent. Eidos' financial year draws to a close in just a few days' time, and the company has today issued a statement in which it says that while it still hopes to get a number of copies of the game onto shelves in the current financial year, up to a million units will not be shipping before July--the first month of the next financial year.

　　Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness shipped in North America on June 20, and reports suggest that the problem with the European version of the game is that final approval from SCEE for one of the five European-language versions has not been forthcoming. Since all five of the languages appear on the same disc, it's not been possible for Eidos to delay the game in only one European territory.
