This morning, Eidos Interactive announced that it has signed a publishing deal with Chinese developer Overmax Studio for Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon on the PC. The game is an RTS currently in the works at the Beijing-based development studio and it's based on Luo Guanzhong's fourteenth century novel titled Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
"Eidos is very enthusiastic about this title. We have the opportunity to bring this hugely popular story from the East to a Western audience in an immersive and interactive format on the PC," commented Eidos managing director Jonathan Kemp.
As you can tell from the above screenshot, one of the first to be published anywhere, the game's graphics look a lot like Ensemble Studio's Age of Empires II. Little about the game's gameplay has been revealed yet, however. Three Kingdoms: Fate of the Dragon is expected to ship to the US this fall.
