Moscow-based Buka Entertainment today announced Echelon: Wind Warriors, its upcoming expansion pack for its futuristic flight combat game, Echelon. The expansion will add a new single-player campaign with more than 40 missions, new units and weapons, and an improved multiplayer mode.
The game is set in the year 2351. Players assume the role of an expert pilot, and they must complete a series of mission objectives across a detailed 3D continent that takes seven hours of flight time to cross. A new feature included in the expansion will let players call in ground units, antiaircraft units, and other aircraft to help complete missions.
Echelon was released in North America by Bethesda Softworks earlier this year. Echelon: Wind Warriors is scheduled for release next summer. For more information, read our full review of the original game.
