The first day of the inaugural EB Games Expo public show isn't even half over yet and already the organizers are gazing into the crystal ball about next year. At the grand finale of the Saturday daylight session, EB Games Australia events manager, Trent Weekes, announced that the gaming expo would be returning in 2012 and heading south to Sydney.

　　The Aussie retailer has chosen the Allphones Arena (formerly the Sydney Super Dome) at Sydney's Olympic Park to host the 2012 public gaming expo. The 17,000 square-meter venue is set to feature not only some of the year's biggest titles, but also promises to showcase gaming culture. In an interview with GameSpot AU, Trent Weekes highlighted the emphasis that the company will celebrate the gaming identity as strongly as the games themselves.

　　EB Games Australia regularly hosts internal preview events for its store managers, but this is the first year that it has opened up the doors to the public. So far, the expo has sold out capacity and features such games as Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Battlefield 3, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
