The mode reveal will likely be followed by a showcase at Gamescom next week. EA will have a huge showing at the upcoming event, with Star Wars Battlefront, Need for Speed, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, hopefully some more Mass Effect Andromeda, and many more. A surprise reveal of the new Star Wars game by Visceral Games and Amy Hennig could be announced. The latter has been recently revealed to be helmed by Jade Raymond.

AllGamesBeta has released an absolutely stunning set of 4K screenshots of Star Wars Battlefront at Ultra Settings, from the Tatooine Survival Mission. Star Wars Battlefront is most definitely one of the most anticipated games of 2015, and with the Game Critics Awards Best of E3 2015 Nominations Announced, Battlefront is the frontrunner with five overall nominations.

EA and DICE have finally showcased the first gameplay footage of Star Wars Battlefront, and as expected it looked amazing. They also demonstrated some Missions Co-op gameplay during Sony's E3 2015 press conference, that showcases some incredible visual quality that almost matches the in-game trailer we have previously seen.

Level Artist Daniel Cambrand recently talked about the replayability of the single player/co-op missions:

“Personally I have found the replay value to be very high. We have had an internal competition at the office where we battled over a case of beer, who would get the best time on the Tatooine Mission that was shown on E3, and we have been playing that Mission over and over and over. It is really fun, changing your tactics slightly every time and trying new ways, especially when you start to compare round time with your friends and colleagues.

As for our internal competition, I came in 2nd after Vehicle Artist Joel, who snagged that case of beer :)”

DICE was given unprecedented access to the original props and locations for Star Wars Battlefront

Unprecedented access to original Star Wars props and locations. Photorealistic visuals and authentic sound design from the talented team at DICE. Prepare to be transported to a galaxy far, far away.

Community Manager Mathew Everett has recently provided some information about the collaboration going on with Lucasfilm for Star Wars Battlefrront, mentioning that the planet Sullust used in the Star Wars comics is inspired by the game.

“The Sullust they use within the comic is based on the Sullust we’re introducing into the Star Wars universe in Star Wars Battlefront. This has been a part of the collaboration we have had with Lucas over the last few years.”

Everett confirmed that mission maps are unique and specific to that part of the game, separate from multiplayer maps:

“Mission maps are unique to Missions. The map count we revealed includes only Multiplayer maps from the base game (12 maps). We also have the two extra free maps that will come with the Battle of Jakku. The Battle of Jakku maps will arrive starting on December 1st or December 8th depending if you pre-ordered, which gives us 14 maps total before The Force Awakens arrives in theaters. We will reveal the full Mission map count in the near future.”

Star Wars Battlefront will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, 2015
