Don Traeger, one of the founders of EA Sports, hasn't announced what new games he is working on, but he has announced the formation of his new company, Don Traeger Productions, and that his company has signed a development deal with Sony Interactive Studios of America.
Traeger did let slip that, over the next year, his company plans to focus on action and sports titles for the PlayStation and PCs. The announcement of DT Production's first title should be forthcoming, the newly formed company said.
Traeger worked at EA for more than 10 years and worked on Skate or Die, Lakers vs. Celtics (the first EA SPORTS branded title), Jordan vs. Bird: One on One, and PGA TOUR Golf. Most recently, Traeger served as vice president of worldwide product development for BMG Interactive, where he shepherded development of Moto Racer.
Dennis Harper, who in his 17 years at Atari Games helped design and produce Primal Rage and other titles, is joining Traeger at the new company.
