EA Delays Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Until April
EA Delays Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Until April-December 2024
Dec 30, 2024 12:56 PM

EA has announced that it will delay Star Wars Jedi: Survivor to April 28, 2023. The upcoming Star Wars game was initially supposed to come out on March 17.

The announcement came from the EA Star Wars account via Twitter, where Stig Asmussen, the game director at Respawn Entertainment, said the reasoning is to focus on "bug fixes to enhance performance, stability, polish and most importantly, the player experience."

Asmussen explains that the delay will allow Respawn to hit a "quality bar," providing the Respawn team with the time they need to "achieve the level of polish our fans deserve."

This isn't the only headline that EA has made today. It was just announced that EA would stop development on Apex Legends Mobile and Battlefield Mobile. EA claims it's shutting down Apex Mobile because the "ongoing experience was not going to meet the expectations of our players." For Battlefield Mobile, it was so they could best deliver their vision of the franchise and "meet the expectations of our players."

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a direct sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which came out in 2019, and will launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
