Speaking in a separate YouTube video, Schafer sought to assure fans they can still expect Double FIne's unique style to continue after the acquisition. All existing Kickstarter promises will be fulfilled, he said, after which the studio will focus on Xbox, Game Pass, and PC. "Nothing about us is going to change at all," he said.
The announcement was hinted at earlier in the show, as Xbox boss Phil Spencer was seen on stage wearing a Psychonauts-branded t-shirt. For more from the show, you can follow along live with our E3 2019 Microsoft press conference liveblog.
