E3 2011: THQ teams with Adidas for miCoach fitness game-October 2024
Oct 30, 2024 9:23 AM

LOS ANGELES--THQ already has its UFC Personal Trainer game set to launch later this month, but the publisher isn't done with the fitness genre just yet. Today, THQ and athletic apparel maker Adidas announced miCoach, an "interactive athletic training system" for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Dwight Howard could be suCoach as well. Set for release early next year, miCoach will use the Xbox 360 Kinect or PlayStation 3 Move controller to help get players into shape. The game will feature Adidas' roster of endorsed athletes, including NBA star Dwight Howard, Brazilian soccer great Kaka, American sprinter Tyson Gay, British track star Jessica Ennis, tennis player Ana Ivanovic, and NFL defensive back Eric Berry. The athletes will run users through personalized training routines with real-time feedback provided through an ANT+ heart monitor (miCoach will have its own branded heart monitor as well).

The game will let users set their own fitness goals, analyze their workouts, and sync a miCoach Pacer (an MP3-player-compatible pedometer that provides audio cues to speed up or slow down) or miCoach mobile app with the game to record workout data away from the console. For more information on existing miCoach products, check out the official Adidas website.
