LOS ANGELES--Today at Microsoft's 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing, the tech giant announced new plans for its online hub, Xbox Live. A first look at Microsoft's Live TV service for Xbox Live.
Xbox Live's Marc Whitten took to the stage at Microsoft's briefing and showed off a new Xbox Live experience, complete with a new user interface that can be controlled using the Kinect. The update will arrive this fall.
Whitten also noted that this year Xbox Live will increase its media partnerships "by a factor of 10." Speaking directly to this point, Whitten announced a list of new features for Xbox Live, including YouTube integration, Bing voice search functionality, and unnamed television partners.
