The long-running Mortal Kombat series has been dormant for quite some time. But Midway is looking to bring the series back in a big, big way this fall, when the company releases the fifth game in the series, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
Deadly Alliance takes the fighting series in a slightly new direction. While MK4 introduced weapons to the series, Deadly Alliance appears to integrate the weapons into the fighting a bit better. In addition, each character will have multiple fighting styles and stances, so you'll be able to switch from one to another mid-combo for flashier, more damaging attacks. Many old characters are returning, including Kung Lao, Shang Tsung, Raiden, Cyrax, Jax, Sonya, and Quan Chi.
Of course, the game will feature the series' trademark finishing moves, though no specifics have been revealed at this time. We'll have more information on the game soon.
