Over the past few days, Sega and another developer has announced two new titles for the Sega Dreamcast. Luckily for image starved gamers, the latest announcement for Blue Stinger came complete with screenshot. The other title, July, has less information outlining its plot that should change as the game takes formation.

　　After posting yesterday's art about the Blue Stinger, we finally have the inside word on what the game is all about. Blue Stinger is an adventure action from Climax Graphics, a spin-off from Japanese developer Climax, known for other Sega titles like Land Stalker (Genesis) and Dark Savior (Saturn).

　　The game is set in fully 3D world that you'll explore, blast mutated enemies with many kinds of weapons, and solve the puzzles. Weapons including sword, shotgun, bazooka, napalm, razor gun, and more.

　　Blue Stinger takes place in the year 2000 after a major earthquake has occurred somewhere in Mexico. As a result, a small island rises from the sea near the Yucatan Peninsula. Mexico and United States name it Dinosaur Island and start to explore the island. After seventeen years, the research is still ongoing. People involved with the research have been living on the island but something (of course, bad) happens on Christmas night.

　　Players play Elliot G. Ballade, a member of a special rescue force. In some of the screen shots obtained, you can see a white glowing figure floating around Ballade. It's called nephillim, but little else is known. (If you're an X-Files fan, you may remember the episode with the evil angel, the good angel, and the three daughters? The three daughters were referred to as the nephillim. Is there a connection?)

　　We'll tell you more about the game when it's available. Blue Stinger for Dreamcast is slated for the end of this year.

　　The other game is a graphic adventure called July. It's being developed by Japan's Fortyfive. The basic story line takes place in the year 1999 - in the month of July. This is the month - according to Nostradamus – when the human race is destroyed. In the game, a mutated species called Sexless emerges from what's left of the human race. They have no genitals (yikes!) and don't age. The Sexless ones attempt to knock off the normal humans. It's a game with multiple endings and the theme of the game will be different for each path you choose. July for the Sega Dreamcast is slated for the end of this year.
