Dragon's Dogma 2, Expoprimal, and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will be present at the Capcom Showcase next week.
That's what the publisher has confirmed on its official page for the upcoming showcase, which will air on June 12 at 3:00 PM PDT. "We look forward to sharing new information about Capcom's upcoming releases and future titles with our fans around the world", Capcom writes. The event will last roughly 36 minutes, and aside from the above-mentioned titles, the showcase will is said to offer "more" details about Capcom's titles.
Capcom announced its showcase some days ago, and we already suggested that the show would likely feature the highly-anticipated and long-overdue sequel to 2012's Dragon's Dogma. Then again, we didn't think that a smaller title, such as Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective would also be receiving some air time.
After various rumors, Dragon's Dogma 2 was officially confirmed to be in development last year, and the title received its first action-packed gameplay trailer last month. We've included that trailer down below in case you haven't seen it yet (or if you just want to check it out once more). "The deep, explorable fantasy world of Dragon's Dogma...
Dragon's Dogma is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG that challenges players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more.
On your journey, you’ll be joined by Pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.
All of these elements are elevated further by the latest in graphics, artificial intelligence (AI) and physics technology to create a truly immersive fantasy world in Dragon's Dogma 2."
As said, Capcom's Exoprimal will also be present at the showcase next week. Here's what we wrote about the co-op Dead Rising-Style Dinosaur-blasting game in our hands-on preview:
One thing that definitely surprised me is the game's story. While the main characters are a little tropey, the premise is interesting, and the mystery surrounding the Leviathan AI seems well handled, receiving ample development during the game. For some reason, this AI is luring Exofighters to Bikitoa Island, forcing them to take part in some twisted games where hordes of dinosaurs are constantly spawned. Leviathan seems to be gathering data for some reason, and, as they are unable to leave the island, the Hammerheads squad will have to get to the bottom of the matter.
